1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using IA LEX MUNDI ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use this App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and IA LEX MUNDI.

2. Description of Service

IA LEX MUNDI is an AI-powered legal platform that provides:

• AI-powered legal document analysis and drafting
• Legal claim detection and case assessment
• Legal procedures guides and resources
• Case file management tools
• Online legal tournaments and competitions
• Legal education courses and postgraduate programs
• Digital library of legal books and resources

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts to use this App. By using this App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements. The App is intended for use by law students, licensed attorneys, and legal professionals only.

4. User Accounts

• You must create an account to access certain features of the App.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts at our discretion.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the App for spam or unsolicited commercial communications
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

Use of IA LEX MUNDI does NOT create an attorney-client relationship between you and IA LEX MUNDI, its owners, employees, or affiliates. The information provided through this App is for general informational and educational purposes only and is not intended as legal advice. You should consult with a qualified attorney licensed in your jurisdiction for advice on specific legal matters.

8. Payment and Subscriptions

• Certain features require a paid subscription plan.
• All payments are processed through third-party payment processors (Stripe, MercadoPago).
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App.
• No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods.
• Tournament entry fees are non-refundable unless the tournament is cancelled by us.

9. Tournament Prizes

• Tournament prizes (cash, books, courses, postgraduate programs) are awarded to winners as advertised.
• Winners must provide valid payment information (bank account or PayPal) to receive cash prizes.
• Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of tournament completion.
• We reserve the right to modify or cancel tournaments at our discretion.
• Employees and immediate family members of IA LEX MUNDI are not eligible to win prizes.

10. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of IA LEX MUNDI and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of Mexico and foreign countries.

• You retain ownership of content you create (case files, documents, analyses).
• You grant us a license to use, store, and process your content to provide the services.
• You may NOT copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our content without permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IA LEX MUNDI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR USE, INCURRED BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT OR TORT, ARISING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IA LEX MUNDI and its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mexico City, Mexico.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through in-app notifications. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
